With the participation of active school pupils and university students from Xanthi and beyond, who followed all the activities with great interest, the two-day Interactive Workshop “CityLab meets SKG.education” has come to a close.
The workshop, whose main subject was Soft Skills, was organised by Xanthi CityLab, with the support of the educational organisation SKG.Education, Xanthi TechLab, the Iraklis Zografos secondary education tutoring centre and the company ena Development Consultants, on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 December 2023 in Xanthi.
On the first day, the participating pupils from upper secondary schools in Xanthi had the opportunity to attend an interesting presentation by Iraklis Zografos, Educator and Owner of a Secondary Education Tutoring Centre, on “Professions, Careers, Soft Skills”. Mr Zografos shared stories and useful advice with the audience about studying, progressing through school and university, and choosing the right career path. The pupils then took part in an interactive conflict-resolution activity curated by the SKG.Education team.
On Sunday we were delighted to welcome and host at #enahub the distinguished speakers, as well as the enthusiastic university students who followed all the activities of the second day of the Workshop. This special careers day was opened by Christos Pitiakoudis of the Marketing Department of ena Development Consultants, who welcomed the participants to #enahub. The representatives of Xanthi CityLab, Maria Papadopoulou and Giorgos Spanos, also gave their own welcome before the highly interesting SKG.Education activities began: on writing a good CV (CV workshop), and on the do’s and don’ts of a first job interview, discussed on the basis of a mock-up interview held live during the workshop.
There followed talks on the importance of Feedback by the SKG.Education representatives and on the art of negotiation by Dimitris Giannakoudis, Coordinator of Xanthi TechLab.
Finally, the series of talks was closed by Evi Voivatopoulou, SME Competitiveness Advisory Services Coordinator at ena Development Consultants, who gave attendees useful advice for their first contact with the workplace, in an effort to bridge the gap between university and the labour market.
ena Development Consultants would like to thank Xanthi City Lab for the excellent cooperation, the speakers for their useful insights, and the participating students for their presence, positive energy and valuable feedback.
Our company, remaining true to its mission of contributing to the business, economic, technological and social development of Xanthi and the wider Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace in which it operates, will always stand in support of Xanthi CityLab’s activities and every other development initiative.
